Product Care & Maintenance
L'AIR Professional DanceVinyl Care and Maintenance Instructions
All dance disciplines can be conducted on L'AIR DanceVinyl. Usage cycles and abuse will dictate wear rates of the DanceVinyl. Tap shoes should be inspected for tightness of screws in the heel and toe areas. Fiberglass taps are recommended. Digging of tap shoes onto the DanceVinyl can cause damage and pre-mature wear. For ballet pointe, the use of rosin is acceptable but rarely required.
L'AIR DanceVinyl is intended for dance usage. DanceVinyl should be thoroughly cleaned following installation and periodically using warm
water and one of the cleaning products listed below and a well - squeezed sponge mop or a 175 RPM rotary cleaner fitted with a soft brush, not a Scothchbrite pad.
NEVER FLOOD THE VINYL WITH WATER. Use minimum water to clean. Rinse with clean warm water, again, using the minimal amount required to clear the cleaning agent.
For general cleaning, use a standard, dedicated push broom, (non-treated) mopping with water and cleaning agent only when necessary. Use (non-treated) walk off mats at doorways. Discourage general traffic and street shoes onto the DanceVinyl. Check that the legs of chairs or tables are equipped with feet and are not sharp ended.
Visually inspect the DanceVinyl periodically and repair all rips, tears, punctures, and seam separations prior to introduction of cleaning liquid to the DanceVinyl. Welded seams should be inspected for tears or fall-out of weld. Weld residue fall-out is common and will not effect performance of the dancevinyl. If seam taping, gaffer's tape should be replaced frequently and should be in place prior to mopping of DanceVinyl.
For spot cleaning, gently hand scrub using a neutral PH cleaner and warm water along with a medium coarse scrubbing. Never grind the cleaning pad into the vinyl.
ALL CLEANING AGENTS MUST BE NEUTRAL PH.
