SPECIFICATIONS for L'AIR PROFESSIONAL DANCEVINYL
OVERLAY - Performance Surface for Excelle II or BRAVO Suspended Flooring
for usage as the installed surface with L'AIR
Excelle II Suspended Flooring for studios and "permanent" theatre and
BRAVO Suspended Flooring Systems for "permanent" theatre flooring.
PART 1 GENERAL
L'AIR Professional DanceVinyl is an easily installed pre-fabricated
dance vinyl overlay designed for permanent or semi-permanent use with L'AIR Suspended Flooring Systems. L'AIR DanceVinyl is designed
to provide a durable surface and consistent surface qualities for dance. L'AIR DanceVinyl is installed onto Excelle II Suspended Flooring using
specified adhesive or by double-sided tape under all seams. Seams can be heat or chemical welded by chemical or heat-weld thread or can be
top-taped using “gaffer’s” tape. L'AIR DanceVinyl can be glued to subfloor using specified adhesive or double-sided taped to alternate
subfloor with seams heat or chemical welded or top-taped.
For studios, "permanent" theatre, L'AIR furnishes dance vinyl, adhesive,
chemical seam weld, double sided tape, and top seam tape. L'AIR DanceVinyl Overlay is intended for semi-permanent and permanent installations.
1.1 DESCRIPTION
Furnish sheet dance vinyl overlay. Constructed in multiple layers, L'AIR
Heavy-Use DanceVinyl is composed of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin, plasticizers, fillers, and pigments. The smooth co-calendered wear layer is
formulated to provide maximum resistance to general abuse and most chemicals. The middle layer provides dimensional stability and sound
absorption. The special backing provides strength and stability of the vinyl overlay and enhances the bonding strength if adhesive or double sided tape is
used to install to the sub-flooring.
1.2 ENVIRONMENTAL
- Do not allow direct sunlight onto overlay.
- If applicable, activate hydronic floor heating at least 12 days prior to installation of L'AIR DanceVinyl
- Facility climate shall be controlled by heating and air conditioning system. Temperature during installation shall be no less than 75
degrees F. and shall not fluctuate more than 5 d. For use, maintain within 10 degrees of usage temperature to avoid excessive expansion
and contraction of dancevinyl.
